Clembot is a character in the Pokémon anime, and it is indeed a robot created by Clemont, the Electric-type Gym Leader of Lumiose City. • Clemont originally intended to give Clembot a voice code for control, using the word “sandwich.” However, due to a mishap and a dent in Clembot’s forehead, the robot took Clemont’s introduction as the voice code and locked him out of the Gym. This incident left Clembot in charge, and it developed a harsh reputation for being unforgiving, often electrocuting and expelling challengers who didn’t meet its standards.
