Doc.Kelly is a supporting character in the movie, Doraemon: Nobita and the Island of Miracles ~Animal Adventure. She is a paleontologist and research about extinct animals and knows everything about them and also she is the owner of Miracle Island

Appearance ~

She has long orange hair and has purplish eyes. She wears a purple space uniform with a white vest, white thigh-high boots, white opera gloves, a V-shaped sea green design under a collar, in magenta trims on both sides, magenta belt with a gold buckle attached, gold jewelry and a sea green headband.

Personality ~

She is very kind and caring. It is shown that she knows about every animal that are now extinct and she tells about every animal on the island to Nobita and Doraemon.

Plot ~

In the movie Doraemon: Nobita and the Island of Miracles ~Animal Adventure, Nobita is feeling down after losing every match in a beetle battle competition. Doraemon and Doraemi use the Time Hole and Time Torimochi to take him to find a new, stronger beetle. However, instead of a beetle, they accidentally bring back a Moa, a flightless bird that is extinct in their time.

Knowing that the Moa cannot survive in their own time, Nobita and Doraemi ask Doraemi to find a place where it can live peacefully. Doraemi finds Miracle Island, a protected sanctuary for extinct animals.

The Future Authority sends Gonsuke to bring Doraemon and Nobita to the island. There, they meet Dr. Kelly, the owner and supervisor of Miracle Island. Dr. Kelly is a kind and knowledgeable paleontologist who is dedicated to protecting and studying extinct animals.

Dr. Kelly tells Nobita and Doraemon about the amazing animals that live on Miracle Island.

Later, Gonsuke informed Kelly about an issue with the time hole. Consequently, she left the group and proceeded to her research center to investigate. Kelly requested Gonsuke to ensure the safe return of Doraemon and Nobita to their timeline.

Tempted by the thought of winning the beetle competition, Nobita secretly takes one from the island before their departure.

Gonsuke returns, sent by the Future Authority to retrieve the stolen beetle. He captures Gian, Suneo, and Shizuka along with Doraemon and Nobita, taking them all back to Miracle Island.

Faced with Dr. Kelly’s disappointment, Nobita realizes his mistake and apologizes

Nobita inquired about why she chose to stay on the island, and Kelly explained that her purpose is to study and understand extinct animals. Her goal is to find ways to ensure their peaceful existence. Kelly revealed that Miracle Island is safeguarded by a mysterious energy bestowed by a golden beetle, known as the Golden Hercules. This legendary beetle plays a crucial role in preserving the island, allowing the animals to thrive.

Kelly expressed her dream of witnessing the legendary beetle and unraveling its powers. When asked about its location, she admitted not knowing the exact whereabouts.

Upon the group’s request to explore the island, Kelly enlisted Gonsuke to assist them. However, she left to inspect the time tunnel, discovering something peculiar within it. During her examination of the damaged time dimension, Sky launched an attack, leading to Kelly’s abduction.

She was taken to Sky’s leader, Sherman, with the intention of extracting information about the Golden Hercules’s whereabouts. Despite being tied up, Kelly insisted she didn’t know the location, resulting in her confinement in a room by the animal hunter team.

Back on Miracle Island, the hunters attack Rokoro village, capturing Koron and her Dodou along with Suneo. They use a holographic projection to reveal their captives and demand the Golden Hercules in exchange for their release.

Inside the evil team’s lair, Kelly, Suneo, and Koron found themselves ensnared within a circular device. Sherman, the leader, interrogated them about the beetle’s location, but they remained silent. Kelly urged them to cease their actions.

The evil team then instructed their comrades to release the captives. Once freed from the circle, a team member activated a giant robot, subjecting Suneo to torture. Kelly protested, but Sherman threatened to continue unless she revealed the Golden Hercules’s whereabouts.

In distress, Koron called for help, and her Dodou’s locket shined, revealing the Golden Beetle. The evil team seized the beetle and confined Suneo, Koron, Kelly, and her Dodou in a room.

Upon the capture of the Golden Beetle, the once-mysterious energy enveloping the island gradually dissipated. Consequently, the animals began to suffer, struggling to breathe. Koron’s Dodou faced a similar plight. Witnessing this, Kelly expressed concern and informed Moron and Suneo that the beetle had been captured.

Upon Nobita and his friends’ arrival at the evil team’s base, Doraemon liberated Kelly and the others. They proceeded towards the location where the legendary beetle was confined. Encountering a locked container, Kelly utilized her computer skills to successfully unlock it. Meanwhile, Doraemon and Nobita engaged in a battle outside against the giant robot.

Following Kelly’s success, the Golden Beetle was freed, fulfilling her dream of witnessing it. The Golden Beetle then played a crucial role in defeating the evil hunter team.

With the team’s defeat, the village began its restoration. Doraemon inquired about the fate of the evil team, and Kelly informed him that they had been captured and were awaiting the arrival of Time Patrol.

Doraemon reveals to Dr. Kelly that Nobisuke’s memories of the island will be erased Dr. Kelly expresses gratitude for their help and bids them farewell as Nobisuke returns to his own time.

Personal Opinion~

Regarding Doc. Kelly, she’s among my favorite movie characters. Her kindness, knowledge, and fulfilling her dream of meeting the legendary Golden Hercules were highlights. I’d rate her a solid 7 out of 10.
