☆ Appearance ~
With silvery hair tied in a ponytail during her infiltration of police records, she later let her hair down when discovered by the protagonists. In this state, two strands stuck out like bangs, and the hair above her forehead was pulled back. Odd-eyed, her left eye was bright blue, while her right eye was a light silver-blue, almost transparent. She attempted to conceal her right eye’s color by wearing brown contacts. She wore waitress-like clothing, featuring a white top with a black ribbon at her collar, a knee-length black skirt, and high heels. During a car chase, she had a cardigan, but she discarded it in an alley.
☆ Plot ~
Curaçao made her non-canon debut as a member of the Black Organization in the movie Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare.
Past:
While she worked for the Black Organization, Curaçao’s brain recorded facts that the organization deemed inconvenient. Vermouth, prepared to execute her, was stopped by Rum. Recognizing the potential of Curaçao’s abilities, Rum appointed her as his right hand.
Movie: The Darkest Nightmare
Mysterious assassinations plague the globe, linked to the Black Organization member, Curaçao, accessing classified files. In Japan, a disguised Curaçao breaks into Tokyo Police Headquarters, aiming to steal secret files detailing spies planted in the organization by international agencies: MI6 (England), CSIS (Canada), BND (Germany), and the CIA/FBI (USA). Using color-coded cards to solidify her memory, she identifies the infiltrated agents.
Curaçao’s escape from the building, thwarted by Rei Furuya and his undercover officers, turns into a fierce combat. During the struggle, one of her brown lenses falls, revealing her mismatched eyes. Escaping in a stolen car, she’s pursued by Furuya in a high-speed chase, sparking near-catastrophic chaos on the highway. Before disaster strikes, Shuichi Akai intervenes, sniping Curaçao’s vehicle from the hood of his iconic red and white Mustang. The car plummets down, erupting in flames.
Curaçao escapes from the falling car and lands in the water. She later surfaces at Tohto Aquarium near the crash site.
The next day, the Detective Boys discover Curaçao at Tohto Aquarium. She is suffering from amnesia, and her phone is broken due to the car crash the day prior. Conan retrieves the broken phone, takes photos of Curaçao, and sends them to Ran, who then forwards them to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police.
The phone is handed to Dr. Agasa to recover the data. The Detective Boys decide to stay with Curaçao to help her regain her memory. After noticing Curaçao’s perfect aiming skills while playing darts and her swift act of saving Genta from falling from a high place, Haibara and Conan realize that Curaçao is not an ordinary woman. Haibara herself gets a sense that Curaçao is likely another Black Organization agent.
Meanwhile, Dr. Agasa attempts to recover the message from Curaçao’s broken cell phone and finds out that Curaçao attempted to send the names of known NOC agents (Stout, Aquavit, Riesling, Bourbon/Rei, and Kir/Hidemi Hondo) to the organization. Stout, Aquavit, Riesling are later killed by members of the Black Organization in London, Toronto, and Berlin, respectively, and Rei and Hidemi are held hostage in Tokyo.
Curaçao also screams out the names of those NOC agents in front of the Detective Boys when the ferris wheel they were riding reaches the top, and the various colors she sees trigger a reaction.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police later take Curaçao into custody, transferring her to the Police Hospital. However, they are forced to surrender her to the PSB as the Bureau believes Curaçao was the spy infiltrating the Bureau Office the day before. The Bureau becomes aware that Curaçao appears to react to certain events in the Tohto Aquarium and decides to take her back to the Aquarium.
The same night, the Black Organization, arriving by the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, knocks out the electricity for the entire aquarium and plans to intercept Curaçao when the ferris wheel reaches the top.
After Curaçao regains her memory by looking at the specific color patterns of the projected lights, like she did earlier, Yuya Kazami, who boarded the ferris wheel with her, is knocked unconscious by her.
Vermouth observes them from a nearby place, and then Curaçao calls her, asking when the organization is coming to take her. Curaçao admits to Vermouth that the mail tampered by Conan and sent from her broken cell phone that reads “Bourbon and Kir are clean” was sent on her own. Thus, the two are able to maintain their cover in the Black Organization.
As the organization was about to take her back, Curaçao escapes. The organization then changes plans and instead fires from the V-22, trying to eliminate Curaçao as she betrayed them and destabilize the wheel so that it will fall and roll. While running, Curaçao saved Ai Haibara from falling and remembered that she is none other than Sherry (Shiho Miyano), who betrayed the organization, and when Sherry asked why she is helping her, Curaçao remembers the time she spent with the Detective Boys and tells her that her current life feels better than the new one.
She tells Sherry to escape, but Haibara tells Curaçao that the kids are on the ferris wheel and are in danger.
Curaçao then tries to divert the organization’s attention towards her to save the kids. As the organization diverts their attention to Curaçao, they start to attack her from their V-22, and she falls into the water. The organization thinks she is dead. Akai, with the help of Conan and Rei, shoots down the V-22, and Conan attempts to stop the rolling wheel before it crushes the aquarium.
Curaçao is still alive, having noticed that the kids (Detective Boys) are in the rolling ferris wheel. She crashes a crane truck into the wheel, stopping it and saving the Detective Boys. However, her actions cause the ferris wheel to crush her to death.
Haibara sees this from the ferris wheel, and later, as the ambulance retrieves her body, PSB officers ask them to show it to them, but they state that her body is unrecognizable due to its bad condition. The white keychain that the Detective Boys gave her falls off and is in very bad condition, burned too. The officers thought it was some sort of memory device, but Conan says, “Not her memories, her feelings, but they have burned, sadly enough.”
Movie: The Black Iron Submarine
Curaçao was mentioned in the movie by Vodka. Vodka tells Vermouth that as Rum’s former right hand, Curaçao is gone, and Pisco is now his second hand.

Skilled and Loyal: Curaçao is a good in disguise with exceptional aim and reflexes. She serves Rum faithfully, valuing his respect for her abilities.
Independent and Protective: Even with amnesia, Curaçao shows flashes of bravery, saving Genta and later defending Haibara.
Torn Loyalties: Curaçao’s internal conflict intensifies. She protects Sherry (Haibara), the organization’s enemy, and deceives the organization to protect Bourbon and Kir.

☆ Personal Opinion ~
I really enjoyed Curaçao’s character—her past, abilities, and growth were incredible. Her sacrificing her own life to save the kids showed a side of her that wasn’t fully bad. Yes, she worked for the Black Organization, but seeing her good side in the movie made me like her. I felt really sad when she died; I think she could be a great addition in taking down the Black Organization, but the movies are non-canon. I wish she appears in the canon ones. Talking about her ability, her color-grapheme synesthesia, which allows her to associate a color with a concept, was awesome.
My rating for her would be 7 out of 10.
