Flannery became the Lavaridge Town Gym Leader only a few days before she met Ash as her grandfather, Mr. Moore, chose to retire from the position and follow a career as a poet, passing on the Gym Leader mantle to her.
But she shines as the Passionate Firebrand of Lavaridge Town, leaving a lasting impression on the series.

5.NORMAN
Specialising in the Normal Types Norman is the Gym Leader of the Petalburgh City Gym.
Norman is the fifth Gym Leader in the Hoenn region and is the father of the protagonist’s in-game character, Brendan or May, depending on the player’s choice of gender.
Norman is depicted as a caring and loving father in both games and anime. While he is a strong and determined Gym Leader, he also values family and the bond he shares with his child.
He is known as a strong and respected Trainer, and his passion for battling and raising Pokémon runs deep. He encourages and motivates trainers to pursue their dreams.

Winona’s battle strategy emphasizes speed and acrobatics, with her Pokémon darting through the skies to deliver swift and powerful attacks

After leaving his Gym in the capable hands of his former student, Wallace, Juan returned when Wallace ascended to the position of Pokémon Champion, taking over the Gym Leader role left vacant by Steven.
Juan is a refined and artistic individual, passionate about both battling and beauty.
His appreciation for aesthetics extends beyond Pokémon battles, as he enjoys the arts and culture of the Hoenn region.
